2026 Ballot Buddy

Colorado Voters for Animals Ballot Buddy is a brief PDF form that you can print and use as a reference when you fill out your ballot. For each race the Ballot Buddy identifies our "Pro-Animal Picks" and provides questionnaires and voting scores. If the candidate is an incumbent, we have included their voting record while at the legislature.

Unfortunately, only 23% of eligible candidates responded to the survey, despite extending 5 separate invitations to participate. While this is disappointing, the "one out of five" is a similar trend seen nationwide to candidate surveys in general. Whether the lack of a response indicates a candidate does not consider animal welfare a top priority is unknown, and we leave it to you, the voter, to decide whether a candidate deserves your vote.

We urge you to vote NO on Amendment 83, which would establish a constitutional right to hunt and fish, as it has the potential to undue wildlife protection laws that voters previously passed to end cruel hunting practices such as baiting bears, using hounds, hunting bears during cubbing season, and catching wildlife with steel-jaw leg-hold traps.
